sp_Blitz - 与标记为发现的复制相关的未记录的 DBCC 事件

最近我在“DBCC Events”发现组的sp_Blitz输出中发现了新发现“Overall Events” :

15278 DBCC events have taken place between Aug  8 2017 12:15AM and Aug  8 2017  8:17AM. This does not include CHECKDB and other usually benign DBCC events.

当我深入研究并检查默认跟踪时,我发现它每分钟都会记录如下条目:

SQL Server 2016 SP1 CU3 清除计划缓存

每隔几分钟到大约一个小时,过程缓存就会被刷新(但不是完全刷新!)。如果我跑:

SELECT count (*) FROM sys.dm_exec_cached_plans

...在清理发生后,计划数量下降到几百个,然后逐渐增加到大约 2,000 个,然后再次发生清理,依此类推。

服务器在 VMWare 上运行,它有128 GB的 RAM(SQL Server 最大服务器内存设置为102 GB,最小服务器内存设置为72 GB)。根据 SentryOne 的输出,我可以看到缓冲池消耗了~61 GB。我没有看到任何内存压力指标。

我还观察到,当我将最小服务器内存减少到 16 GB 时,进程缓存清除的频率急剧增加。

**Priority 100: Performance**:

- Fill Factor Changed Database3 - The [Database3] database has objects with fill factor < 80%. This can cause memory and storage performance problems, but may also prevent page splits.

- Many Plans for One Query  - 180 plans are present for a single query in the plan cache - meaning we probably have parameterization issues.

- Stored Procedure WITH RECOMPILE distribution - [distribution].[dbo].[sp_MSdelete_dodelete] has WITH RECOMPILE in the stored procedure code, which may cause increased CPU usage due to constant recompiles of the code.


**Priority 110: Performance**:

- Active Tables Without Clustered Indexes
    * Database3 - The [Database3] database has heaps - tables without a clustered index - that are being actively queried.

    * Database3Integration - The [Database3Integration] database has heaps - tables without a clustered index - that are being actively queried.

we can observe 'low physical memory' flag although value of Available Phiscal memory stays at the same level. Moreover if I am not misataken above results are indicating internal memory pressure (IndicatorsProcess = 2, which is weird to me as Sentry all the time shows that SQL Server doesn't fully utilize the allocated memory. This is memory usage captured by Sentry for sample taken at 8 AM:

All lines are pretty flat. What is also weird to me is that group of events:

  • RESOURCE_MEMPHYSICAL_LOW
  • RESOURCE_MEM_STEADY
  • RESOURCE_MEMPHYSICAL_HIGH

happens at the same time. So this pressure takes milliseconds or less (perhaps this is also the reason why Sentry doesn't capture anything as it collects data a way less frequently).

Now I wonder how to nail down the root cause of this memory pressure?
