Eu uso a saída de som da minha GPU NVIDIA como principal coletor de som. No entanto, de tempos em tempos, eu conecto um headset EPOS (um dongle USB que se comunica sem fio com o headset real).
No KUbuntu 22.04, o pulseaudio alternaria automaticamente para EPOS para entrada e saída de som.
Desde a atualização para o KUbuntu 24.04.1, isso não tem funcionado tão bem, e não consigo depurar porque não estou familiarizado com o pipewire nem com a "ponte" pipewire-pulse.
Ao conectar o dongle EPOS, a troca não acontece corretamente: no pavucontrol, o EPOS é mostrado como fonte e coletor padrão, mas não há som real. Posso fazê-lo funcionar usando o pavucontrol para selecionar a GPU NVIDIA como padrão e, em seguida, EPOS novamente.
Em alguma ocasião (durante uma webconferência), de repente não obtive mais som. Eu o restaurei fazendo a mesma manobra no pavucontrol. Mas deu errado novamente quando fechei o pavucontrol. No entanto, isso não acontece sistematicamente, mas parece aleatório.
Minha configuração é, eu acho, bem padrão para uma atualização de 22.04 para 24.04. A única mudança que fiz foi criar um symlink para /bin/true
under $HOME/bin/pulseaudio
: isso habilitou um jogo (Victoria 3) a detectar corretamente o coletor de som da GPU NVIDIA (senão, ele seria enviado para o alto-falante interno do gabinete do computador).
Para sua informação, a webconferência foi com o Big Blue Button no Firefox (obtido diretamente da Mozilla, não do snap distrib).

Não tenho a menor ideia do que isso realmente faz, mas hoje, conectar o dongle USB do meu headset EPOS faz com que o sistema alterne automaticamente para ele, e desconectá-lo faz com que ele volte para a saída da GPU.
