O movimento TrackPoint neste ThinkPad X390 com Ubuntu 18.04 LTS é instável, lento e inutilizável para movimentos delicados e pequenos. EDIT: De acordo com as sugestões do @Pilot6 aqui , instalei xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-hwe-18.04(que parece ter sido bem-sucedido) e verifiquei os arquivos no diretório /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d:

Eu removi o arquivo 40-libinput.confe reiniciei na esperança de que o driver Synaptics fosse ativado. Isso não aconteceu, resultando no teclado e no TrackPoint (e touchpad) sem resposta.
