Meu desktop usa o Kubuntu 24.04, totalmente atualizado, com o KDE Plasma 5.27.12. Cerca de uma semana atrás, decidi dar outra chance ao Wayland, e dessa vez achei que tudo funcionou perfeitamente, exceto pelo fato de que a opção Screen Energy Saving parece não funcionar...

Para ser preciso, ele funciona inicialmente, uma vez que o tempo ocioso tenha decorrido, e a tela fique preta. Mas ele permanece preto por cerca de 10 segundos apenas, então a tela volta a ligar novamente. Obviamente, há algo substituindo as configurações definidas (por mim) em Configurações do Sistema -> Energia.

A mesma coisa acontece se eu desligar a tela via CLI ( kscreen-doctor -d off), ou seja, a tela permanece preta por cerca de 10 segundos e depois acende novamente. Se eu escolher colocar o PC no modo de suspensão/hibernação após o mesmo período de tempo, a tela não acende novamente, mas é claro que não é isso que eu quero.

Após a tela acender novamente, em System Settings -> Display and Monitor, aparecem as seguintes informações: Uma nova saída foi adicionada. As configurações foram recarregadas. Eu obtenho, de fato, a seguinte saída interessante:

do qual podemos ver que o kactivitymanager, por algum motivo não especificado, decide que deve criar uma tela Qt falsa para evitar que ele trave. E isso acontece várias vezes no curso de alguns segundos, até que a situação se estabilize, e não haja mais atividades relacionadas no syslog .

Outro detalhe importante é acrescentado por uma captura das conexões dbus :

O horário inicial da captura do dbus , 1739545729, corresponde a sexta-feira, 14 de fevereiro de 2025, 16h08min49s GMT+01:00, que também é a saída do comando date imediatamente antes do comando que desliga o monitor. Vemos que cerca de 11 segundos após o desligamento o kwin envia um sinal de que a configuração mudou, o que presumivelmente é a consequência do kded5 ter criado uma tela Qt falsa. Mas o que exatamente aciona esse comportamento engraçado?

O engraçado é que a mesma configuração funciona perfeitamente em uma sessão X11, ela só quebra em uma sessão Wayland. Mas, apesar disso, não está claro para mim se isso é um bug do Wayland ou do KDE. Eu pesquisei qt.qpa.wayland: Creating a fake screen in order for Qt not to crash , o que leva a duas escassas referências, a mais relevante das quais afirma:

O problema provavelmente está no Wayland ou no DE, pois eles não estão fechando o portal.

(qualquer que seja o portal). Mas aqui também não houve consenso sobre o verdadeiro culpado.

Após uma atualização do meu kali (baseado em Debian), consegui efetuar login e encontrei o erro " ksplashqml signal segmentation fault " travando em uma tela preta (era a área de trabalho sem tema e consegui usar a tecla win para abrir um konsole, configurações ou qualquer software).

Gerenciador de exibição: sddm (para verificar tente systemctl status display-manager)

Então, toda vez que tento reiniciar o sddm, recebo o mesmo erro. Tentei alterar o tema do kde (de outras postagens) sem sucesso porque ele não era exibido nas Configurações do Sistema ou não aplicava a edição dos arquivos de configuração. Tentei, dpkg-reconfigure sddmmas não adiantou nada (porque não tenho o ambiente de desktop). O último recurso foi reinstalar o kde-plasma-desktop, mas recebo o erro " dpkg unsatisfied dependencies " e tentei consertá-lo sem sucesso (muitas coisas como apt update & apt upgrade apt --fix-broken installe apt clean)

Acabei de instalar o CachyOS com o KDE Plasma Desktop Environment e posso ver na minha barra de tarefas que há uma Discover Store:

Mas quando clico nele, aparece um pop-up de erro:

Não importa o quanto eu tente executá-lo, ele não funciona.

Talvez não tenha sido instalado corretamente com minha instalação do CachyOS? O que causaria isso?

Existe alguma maneira de definir uma tecla de atalho para o aplicativo KDE System Monitor para que ele também abra usando o mesmo Ctrl+Shift+Escatalho no Modo Desktop do SteamOS?

Se não for possível, existe alguma tecla de atalho padrão para o aplicativo KDE System Monitor que eu possa usar para abri-lo?

Testando o Wayland depois de muita dificuldade para fazê-lo ficar no mesmo nível do X11 em termos de recursos usados. Mas desde que troquei de sessão (e nada mais), agora tenho o ponteiro do mouse mais irritante se encaixando nas bordas da tela.

Quer arrastar a barra de rolagem de uma janela de tela cheia? Não, aparentemente eu realmente deveria estar redimensionando a janela. Quer mover o mouse de uma tela para a próxima? Que tal parar na borda? Um problema tão pequeno, mas tão irritante.

Descobri que se eu mover o mouse rápido o suficiente o encaixe é ignorado (muito útil mirar na barra de rolagem…).

Tenho vasculhado as opções, mas sem sucesso. Tentei pesquisar bastante online também, mas só consigo encontrar pessoas com outros problemas de mouse saltitante – não relacionados a bordas de janelas/telas, ao que parece. Se minha resposta existe por aí, ela está abafada pelo barulho.

Então, há alguma chance de alguém saber como consertar isso? Ou é melhor deixar o Wayland maduro por mais 5 anos antes de tentar de novo?

Depois de ir para a tela de login do KDE e mudar do x11 para o Wayland, depois de digitar minha senha, a tela fica preta e fica assim. O estranho é que pensei que estava usando o Wayland antes, não tenho ideia de quando ele mudou ou mesmo se mudou honestamente.

Recentemente voltei para o KDE Plasma com KWin do Qtile. Depois de fazer a troca, descobri que os atalhos Alt + <e Alt + >, usados ​​para pular para o início/fim da entrada em ambientes semelhantes ao Emacs, não estão funcionando.

As chaves não são registradas, nem no Emacs (modo de janela) nem em um aplicativo de terminal. (Também não aparece em xev.) Minha suposição usual aqui seria que o gerenciador de janelas os está capturando como um atalho. No entanto, não consigo encontrar nenhum mapeamento dessas chaves no menu de configurações do sistema.

O problema apareceu recentemente e a única alteração que fiz foi voltar para o KWin. Portanto, tenho certeza de que essa é a origem do problema.

Estou usando o KDE Plasma e frequentemente preciso empacotar conjuntos de arquivos em tar.gz ou zip. Isso geralmente requer abrir o Ark, criar um novo arquivo e trabalhar a partir daí, o que é uma tarefa árdua. Seria melhor se eu pudesse clicar com o botão direito do mouse na área de trabalho do Dolphin para obter um diretório, ir ao submenu "Criar novo..." e escolher esse tipo de arquivo; mas no momento, as únicas opções são:

Estou acostumado a combinar para edição enquanto vejo uma diferença intra-linha que é atualizada ao vivo em resposta às edições. Basta digitar no painel esquerdo ou direito da janela e salvar um ou ambos os arquivos.

Estou tentando usar o kdiff3 para o mesmo propósito. Acredito que ele suporta edições ao vivo no mesmo estilo do meld, mas não consigo descobrir como editar. Os painéis esquerdo e direito mostram diferenças como eu esperava, mas parecem não editáveis: se eu clicar neles, não vejo nenhum cursor e a digitação não tem efeito. Explorei os menus e as opções da linha de comando e não consigo encontrar a opção certa.
